What exactly am I paying for?

Hey everyone, I’ve been researching private ADHD assessments in the UK, and I’m a bit overwhelmed by the price differences. Some clinics charge £300, while others go up to £1500. I understand that the assessment process varies, but I’d love to hear from people who’ve gone through it. What exactly am I paying for? Is a higher price always a sign of better quality, or can I get a reliable diagnosis at a more reasonable cost?

This is really helpful to know! I was considering a private assessment but was worried about hidden costs. I didn’t realize some places don’t include follow-ups in the initial price. It makes sense that a higher price could mean more comprehensive care, but I guess it depends on individual needs. I might look into clinics that offer a payment plan because the upfront cost is a big factor for me. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
