Volkswagen crafter camper van, the van has covered 187700 miles it also has a full service history and has recently passed its MOT with no advisories. This is a mechanic owned van so no expense has been spared on its upkeep. Please don't be put off by the milage, these engines go forever. It is the blue motion engine so cheaper tax. It has stop start technology, cruise control/speed-limiter, 6 speed manual gearbox. It really is a pleasure to drive. The van is also registered as a motor caravan on the log book. This van has 3 forward facing seatbelted seats.
Now for the camper, the van has a fixed double bed at the rear above the garage area. The seating area also pulls out into a double bed. The front double seat is on a swivel base so spins to create a rather roomy seating area, this is a pull tested seat base with certification. The van also has a waeco fridge and a country leisure oven. It has a 2kw propex heating system ran off patio gas, 12v tv with a status 330 digital and analogue tv aerial and a bluetooth sound system. There is an on board thetford cassette toilet with an accompanying smev wash basin, running water from the on board water tank and shurflo fresh water pump. There is also 2x usb 12v power outputs, all of the onboard items are powered by a 12v 130ah leisure battery and a 12v 200w solar panel this makes this van perfect for wild camping. It also has a electric hookup fitted we used this when on campsites for electric radiators in winter and an additional electric cool box, hair dryers etc. The camper has a roll out dometic awning. There is also access to the rear garage area through the living area, we used this for a dog crate if the dogs were muddy we could put them in to dry off from the rear preventing a build up of dirt. There is plenty of storage areas under and above the sink, above the seating area and a cupboard in the fixed bed sleeping area.
We have wild camped in this van all over the uk and camped on campsites it really does do it all. There is space for all of our outdoor gear, on a recent trip we took our mountain bikes, open water swimming kit, running/ canicross kit, walking kit and still had an excess of space. The van does have a towbar fitted although we have never needed to use it.
More pictures of the garage area available upon request.
