Conwy Estuary Campervan & Motorhome Stopover
Llanrwst Road, Llansanffraid Glan Conwy, Colwyn Bay LL28 5ST

The Conwy Estuary Campervan & Motorhome Stopover is a small, family-run, adults-only overnight site located on Llanrwst Road in Glan Conwy, North Wales. It sits directly on a motorhome sales forecourt, offering unbeatable, panoramic riverbank views across the Conwy Estuary down to the Conwy Bridge and valley.
Stopover Details for Motorhomes & Campervans
The site provides an intimate and highly functional setup tailored specifically for self-contained touring vehicles:
Pitch Capacity: Exactly three hard-standing plots are available per night.
Vehicle Suitability: The hard-standing surface easily accommodates large, 7-metre motorhomes.
Site Restrictions: Strictly no children or infants are permitted; however, the site is pet-friendly.
Pricing & Stay Limits: Bookings cost £30 per night (inclusive of electricity) with a maximum stay of 3 days.
Timings & Booking: Check-in is anytime after 2:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM. All stays must be booked online in advance via the Conwy Estuary Motorhome Stopover Booking Page.
Note: Because the stopover shares space with an active motorhome sales business and a busy main road, expect some standard daytime traffic and work activity, which quietens down considerably during the evening.
On-Site Facilities
Despite its small size, the stopover features all essential touring facilities to ensure a comfortable stay:
Power & Connectivity: Dedicated 16-amp electric hookup (EHU) on each plot and free site-wide Wi-Fi access.
Waste & Water: An Elsan point for chemical toilet disposal, general rubbish bins, and a clean running water refill station.
Sanitary Amenities: A clean, modern on-site toilet block.
Camping Essentials: An on-site accessories store stocked with touring gear and Calor Gas canisters.
Dining & Local Provisions
While there is no restaurant directly on the pitches, visitors can access several dining options within a short walking distance in Glan Conwy village:
Lazy Breakfasts: The local village garden centre cafe is open Monday to Saturday for morning meals.
Evening Dining: The village features a local pub with an outdoor beer garden, a Chinese takeaway, and a welcoming bar at the village football club.
Groceries: Siop Bach, the local village store, is open 7 days a week to restock provisions or pick up local drinks.
Local Area Information
The stopover is strategically positioned as a peaceful base to explore the top highlights of North Wales, all reachable within a 10-minute drive or via nearby public transport options:
Conwy Town (2 miles away): Famous for the medieval Conwy Castle, the historic Conwy Town Walls, and the Smallest House in Great Britain.
