Y Glyn Motorhome & Campervan Aire (officially part of Cyngor Gwynedd’s Arosfan scheme) is a purpose-built overnight stopover located on the picturesque shores of Llyn Padarn in Llanberis, Wales. Modeled after continental European aires, it provides a scenic, safe, and legal overnight base for self-contained vehicles exploring the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Capacity & Surface: The site features a flat gravel surface with 8 dedicated overnight motorhome and campervan bays.
Pricing: Parking costs £16.50 for 24 hours or £33 for a maximum 48-hour stay. Payment is made via the on-site ticket machine or the PayByPhone app.
Maximum Stay: Guests can stay for a maximum of 48 hours (two consecutive nights), with a strict no-return policy within 7 days.
Site Rules: The site is strictly reserved for self-contained vehicles with onboard facilities. "Camping behaviour" is completely prohibited—you cannot deploy awnings, roof tents, pop-up tents, tables, or chairs outside the vehicle.
Facilities & Utilities
Waste Disposal: The aire features a dedicated motorhome service point offering free grey water discharge and a black water/Elsan chemical toilet disposal hatch.
Fresh Water: Fresh drinking water is available at the service point and costs £3 for 10 minutes of tap access.
Toilets & Electricity: Clean public toilets are available on-site during the daytime but are locked overnight. There is no Electric Hook-Up (EHU) available at this location.
Refuse: Dedicated rubbish bins and recycling points are provided.

While there are no direct dining facilities inside the parking area, Y Glyn sits just a 5-to-10-minute flat walk from Llanberis town centre.
Local Cafes & Eateries: A water sports café sits a short walk down the road. The town centre features independent cafés, bakeries, and traditional Welsh pubs serving hearty post-hike meals.
Gallt y Glyn: Located just minutes away on foot, Gallt y Glyn is highly recommended by visiting motorhomers for its freshly made pizza and local craft beers.
Groceries: Convenience stores and local shops are easily accessible in town for stocking up on onboard groceries.

Water Sports: The aire is located right on the edge of the Llyn Padarn lagoons, an incredibly popular spot for wild swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking. Water activity rental shops operate just minutes away.
Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon): Y Glyn serves as an excellent base for hikers. The famous Snowdon Mountain Railway station and the starting points for the Llanberis Path up the mountain are within walking distance.
