It serves as an excellent base for day-trippers, surfers, and coastal walkers exploring the South West Coast Path.
Motorhome and Campervan Stopovers
Unlike many coastal car parks in Cornwall that strictly prohibit sleeping in vehicles, Maggie’s Patch actively welcomes motorhomes and campervans for overnight stopovers.
Pricing: Day parking costs £3, and an overnight stay (valid from 7:30 PM to 9:00 AM) is £5, making a full 24-hour stopover an incredibly affordable £8.
Payment: The on-site payment ticket machines accept both cash (coins) and card/contactless payments year-round.
Spacing: The parking area is unmarked. Motorhome owners are advised to park considerately to ensure safe, recommended clearance gaps between vehicles. If you arrive early or get lucky, some perimeter spaces allow you to reverse right up to the edge for a direct view overlooking the sandy beach.

Maggie’s Patch operates primarily as a no-services stopover, meaning there are no direct electric hook-ups (EHU) or chemical toilet disposal points on-site. However, basic essential amenities are located just steps away:
Public Toilets: A public toilet block is situated directly across the road from the car park entrance.
Fresh Water: A cold-water tap/outdoor shower station is accessible near the public toilets, which is convenient for rinsing off beach sand or topping up solar showers.
Connectivity: The immediate car park sits in a mobile signal black spot, but nearby venues offer free customer Wi-Fi.
