Motorhome & Campervan Stopovers
The St Abbs Harbour Trust Car Park welcomes small-to-medium campervans and motorhomes for overnight stays directly on the quayside, offering sweeping sea views.
Space Limits: Accommodates vehicles up to 25 feet in length. Large, multi-axle motorhomes will struggle with the tight, steep decline leading down into the harbour.
Overnight Fees: £20 per night (with additional daytime parking rates of around £2/hr or £6–£7 for a full day).
How to Pay: Daytime fees can be settled via the pay-and-display machines. The overnight fee is traditionally paid in cash directly into the Harbour Master’s hut (write your registration number on a slip of paper if the cabin is unattended).
Rules: This is a quiet, working neighborhood rather than a campsite. No awnings, outdoor tables, chairs, generators, or fires are permitted. All camping activity must be contained strictly inside the vehicle.
On-Site Facilities
Toilets & Showers: Public toilets are situated right at the harbour. They are well-maintained and typically remain open 24/7 for overnight guests. There is a token or coin-operated shower inside the block (approx. 30p, exact cash required).
Services: There are no electrical hookups (EHU) and no chemical toilet disposal points on-site. A dedicated local waste point can be found down the coast at Eyemouth.
Connectivity: Signal can be patchy at the very bottom of the harbor basin, but strong 5G coverage is available at the top of the cliff.
Local Dining
Dining options directly at the harbour are excellent but run on daytime café hours, meaning evening meals require a short trip inland or down the coast.
Ebbcarrs Cafe - Perched right on the harbour front, this beloved spot is famous for its fresh crab sandwiches, Cullen Skink, and lobster pots caught locally that morning. Open Tuesday–Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (closed Mondays).
Old School Cafe and Ebba Centre - Located slightly uphill in the village, serving paninis, homemade tray bakes, and occasional Friday fish and chip suppers. It is a spacious, family-friendly venue with outdoor seating.
Evening Meals - For dinner, visitors walk or drive 1–2 miles to Coldingham (to visit The New Inn or Anchor pubs) or Eyemouth, which features harbourside restaurants like Oblo and The Contented Sole that stay open late.

It features spectacular clifftop hiking trails, the historic 1862 Stevenson Lighthouse, and rugged cliffs that host over 60,000 nesting seabirds during the summer.
Coastal Walks: A beautiful, easy 15-minute coastal path links St Abbs Harbour directly to the wide, sandy surfing beach at Coldingham Bay.
