Founded in 2019 and operating from its permanent home since 2022, Re:Fuel provides a unique space where "coffee meets combustion". It offers a massive, hard-standing paddock that accommodates 150 cars or 300 motorbikes, hosting vibrant car culture gatherings alongside a family- and dog-friendly cafe experience.
Motorhome & Campervan Stopovers
Re:Fuel has become a highly popular stopover destination for the vanlife community traveling through Devon.
The Deal: Campervans and motorhomes can enjoy a free overnight stay on-site. The stay remains free provided you book or purchase breakfast at the on-site kitchen the next morning.
The Paddock: The vast, flat, hard-standing paddock provides solid ground for heavier vehicles year-round, removing any risk of getting bogged down in wet grass.
Site Rules: Guests are expected to maintain the venue's relaxed vibe. Strict house rules prohibit excessive engine revving, loud music, or anti-social driving behavior.
Dining and Facilities
The venue boasts excellent amenities tailored for both passing petrolheads and overnight travelers.
The Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen: The main indoor, automotive-themed restaurant accommodates 100 people. It serves award-winning, locally sourced artisan food. The menu focuses heavily on cooked breakfasts (served all day), breakfast wraps, artisan coffees, and sweet treats. It also accommodates a significant array of vegan and vegetarian choices.
Outdoor & Street Food: On busier days, the Canopy Cafe handles grab-and-go treats. Outdoor seating includes the weatherproof Falken Stretch Tent and an Airstream trailer serving pop-up artisan street food. Authentic options like Sawadee Thai Food often make guest appearances.
Entertainment & Tech: Inside, visitors will find The Apex Race Centre, featuring advanced motorsport racing simulators. There is also a children’s indoor play zone, toy go-karts, and EV charging stations for electric vehicles.
Outdoor Spaces: Dog owners and children can unwind along Steamer’s Wild Walk, a dedicated green trail that loops gracefully through the site's natural surroundings. Clean, on-site toilets are accessible during business hours.
Local Information & Attractions
Immediate Area: Cullompton is a historic Devonshire market town famous for its rich textile history. It features stunning architecture like the 15th-century St. Andrew's Church.
Walking & Nature: The venue is highly accessible to the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and sits within a short driving distance of Exmoor National Park, making it an excellent launching point for wilderness hikes.
