Motorhome and Campervan Overnight Stopovers

While the hub itself is a utility point rather than a traditional campsite, designated overnight parking is available directly adjacent to it.

  • Aberfeldy Riverside Aire: Located in the cemetery public car park next to the hub. It provides 5 hardstanding pitches specifically for self-contained motorhomes or campervans. Caravans, tents, and awnings are prohibited.

  • Booking & Access: This is a self-service, first-come, first-served stopover point that does not accept advanced bookings.

  • Pricing & Constraints: Overnight parking costs £12 per night (valid from 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM) with a maximum stay limit of 2 nights. There are no electrical hook-ups (EHU) or greywater drive-over drains available at this specific parking area.

Facility Breakdowns and Tariffs

The facility operates with a focus on green, sustainable policies (using recycled items and offering community tool kits). The main services include:

  • Public Toilets: Wheelchair-accessible and open 24/7 free of charge.

  • Showers & Changing Rooms: Accessible facilities open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Use is based on a requested donation or a fixed £3 per person fee.

  • Black Waste Disposal: Chemical toilet emptying is available 24/7. Access is paid via an on-site QR code system costing £6 per empty.

  • Fresh Water: Fresh drinking water fill-up is available for a £3 fee.

  • Waste Management: General public waste bins are available on-site, though dedicated recycling infrastructure is not provided at the bins.

  • Information Shelter: Features printed area guide maps to navigate the surrounding terrain.

Dining and Local Context

The hub is situated in the scenic heart of Highland Perthshire, placing visitors within short walking distance of central Aberfeldy’s amenities.

  • Immediate Attraction: The site directly overlooks the historic Aberfeldy Distillery, making it incredibly convenient for whisky tours and gift shopping.

  • Dining: A short stroll over the historic bridge leads into Aberfeldy town centre, which hosts a variety of independent cafes, traditional pubs, and restaurants. Local spots serve everything from quick trail lunches to sit-down Scottish dining.

  • Activities: For outdoor enthusiasts, the trail paths connect directly to local highlights like the Birks of Aberfeldy waterfalls. Beyond Adventure also coordinates local river rafting, kayaking, and paddleboarding directly from this river access point.
