Motorhome and Campervan Stopovers

Tynedale RFC operates as a highly rated, informal overnight stopover location. It is an exceptionally convenient base for touring motorhomes and campervans.

  • Booking and Prices: Overnight parking typically costs £12 to £13.40 per night (plus minor online booking fees). Bookings should be made in advance using the Tynedale RFC LiveIt Booking Page

  • Pitch Options: Visitors can park on the spacious gravel area just inside the park entrance, or on the adjacent grass strips if the ground is firm. Hardstanding car park options are available further down past the tennis courts.

  • Crucial Constraints: The site is strictly not a full-service campsite. Tents and tent boxes are entirely prohibited because there are no dedicated external toilet or washing facilities available for campers.

  • Site Rules: A strict 11:00 PM curfew is enforced, requiring no music or external disturbance after this time. There are no rubbish bins on site; all guests must take their waste away with them. Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times.

On-Site Facilities

  • Fresh Water: A fresh drinking water tap is accessible on the front of the clubhouse and at the end of the groundsman buildings. A local dairy herd fresh milk vending machine also sits near the clubhouse.

  • Waste Disposal: A dedicated chemical toilet (Elsan) disposal point is situated at the far end of the gravel lot, past the second green shed near the railway fence.

  • Toilets: Internal club restrooms are strictly accessible only when the main clubhouse building is open.

The Clubhouse Bar and Catering

The newly refurbished clubhouse, commercially known as The Venue at Tynedale Park, serves as the social heart of the grounds.

  • Bar 1876: This fully stocked, spacious club bar serves an extensive selection of draft beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, independent of any single brewery tie. It offers a warm, traditional rugby club atmosphere with flat-screen access for live sports.

  • Matchday Hospitality: Led by chef Mark Crowe, the club provides popular pre-match hospitality lunches before 1st XV home fixtures. These feature two- or three-course meals, player Q&As, and an excellent matchday atmosphere open to both members and visitors.

Local Information and Food

The club is uniquely positioned for exploring the Tyne Valley due to its excellent transport links and proximity to village amenities.

  • Transport Links: Corbridge Railway Station sits directly next to the club entrance. This provides effortless train links along the Tyne Valley line to Hexham, Newcastle, and Carlisle.

  • Walking Distance to Corbridge: A flat, scenic 10-to-15 minute walk across the river bridge leads directly into the historic village of Corbridge. The village is packed with independent cafes, artisan bakeries, traditional pubs, boutique shops, and a petrol station.
